and has won local awards in two consecutive years twice, and was chosen for performance at a well known LA museum!
Yes, I do have extra pride filling my heart.
Weeks later a 10 year old student of mine won 1. Prize in a Talent Show, the hearts of the Jury and the audience, and… an envelope with cash! Playing Mozart and Beethoven does pay off!
Another one of my piano students, a 13 year old prodigy,
has for the very first time in his career performed with orchestra,
playing Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto. He received a standing ovation,
with lots of bravos shouted. All performers were good, but my student [name
withheld for privacy reasons] left all other piano performers in the dust!
Moreover, this very student has been signed up for level 8 of the Certificate of Merit state exam just a couple months later, - even though he has never taken a single one before!
With my compressed guidance he achieved 98% on written test, and 100% on both oral and playing tests! Honorable Mention of the Jury on top!
Most recently, earlier this year, a 15-year old student made the Third Place at Carnegie Hall affiliated American Prodigy International Piano Competition 2025.
