I started this project in 1991, I bought a Manx almost complete with an earlier garden gate frame which I sold as I wanted a Manx Featherbed frame . I managed to locate one in Canada but the owner had raced it with a Honda 750 4 engine in it and had sawn off the lower frame rails to accommodate the engine. He had also painted it candy apple red and gold plated the fittings, must have been a Liberace fan. I welded in new frame rails but had to flatten them to lower the Manx engine as it was wider than the later ones. Roadholder forks were fitted and a Grimeca four leading shoe front brake. Alloy rims with stainless spokes completed the wheels. Alloy fuel and oil tanks were painted by the late great Jim Murrillo and a rev counter was mounted behind the correct mesh fly screen and number plate fairing.
Life then got in the way and the bike languished in my damp shed for a decade or three and I realized that at the age of 75 I would probably not live to see it finished so here it is....... Still a lot to do but a good start for someone, maybe you?
