Are you interested in generative music technology? We are seeking a Music Intern to assist with the development of groundbreaking new music software. Distinct from other existing programs, our software does not utilize AI to create music; our advanced algorithms compose new music from scratch based on highly customizable user inputs.
As our intern, you will be an early user of the program and gain hands-on experience working with the future of music technology. Expect to utilize your musical knowledge to hone and improve music created with the program, as well as provide important user feedback which will influence development going forward.
Duties:
- Perform quality assurance on generated music
- Audition tracks for marketplace fitness
- Tag and add metadata to existing tracks
- Register music with relevant performing rights organizations (PROs)
Qualifications:
- Ability to read music fluently
- Proficient with Native Instruments and Omnisphere software
- Ability to pass an ear training exam
- Ability to commute to West LA music studio multiple times a week
- Having or pursuing a music degree is helpful but not required
Ideal Candidate:
Extensive experience using a Logic Pro or other DAW (Ableton, Protools, Cubase, etc.) to produce or mix music
Proficient with a wide range of music plugins
Basic understanding of performing rights organizations (PROs)
Experience collaborating with other musicians in a studio environment
