A 16-way (32 jacks front/32 jacks back) 1/4" phone jack panel. Patch bay fits standard 19" racks and can be used for all types of connection purposes in studio rooms and PA racks. Each "way" (16 total) consists of two single-contact jacks on the back panel and two double-contact jacks on the front panel. The back panel jacks of each "way" are connected together as long as no plug is inserted in the corresponding front panel jacks. The most common use for the patch box is to connect all "insert" (send and return) signals if a mixing console into the rear panel and insert the desired effects into the front panel as needed. Brackets can be reversed if single contact jacks are desired on front.
