Vintage G&L bass guitar. Beautiful playable condition and some nice legit patina earned over it's 40+ year life. Frets and neck are in super condition. Super dark Rosewood fretboard. Electronics are great - this bass is passive. I believe this bass dates to about 1983, made in the original Fullerton California factory. The instrument is bone stock.
The neck - visually in excellent shape. Rosewood board. I can't see any sign of fret wear. This is the slimmer neck, not the chunky P style neck.
Body - Trans red, some definite wearing of the paint, a few chips. A nice look, at least to me.
Hardware - stock, in good working order, a bit of patina.
History - This bass spent many years gigging in a blues band in the Bay Area. I purchased it a few years ago from the the bassist's sister (he unfortunately passed away way too young). I've played it on a regular since then. I'm selling because I have too many basses and need some scratch for an electric guitar.
Price is fair I think, it will go up in value. G&L sadly closed its doors on its factory just recently. This bass is Leo Fender history. $800 or close to it will take it. Thanks for looking.
