This vintage jazz box features a solid maple top, back, and sides, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard, all built in a durable, hand-carved archtop design. The electronics are completely original, including an Alnico-3 Dog Ear P-90—the same style found in early Les Paul Special and Junior models. The pots are clean with zero crackle, everything works flawlessly, and the guitar sounds incredible.
It delivers a warm yet clear tone; the low-impedance pickup balances out the natural brightness of the all-maple body. Crank it with some overdrive and it absolutely ROARS—the single coil takes on an almost fuzzy edge, with long, natural sustain that blooms into musical, singing feedback. Perfect for blues rock, garage, or punk.
Like many classic Gibsons, it’s had a headstock break in its lifetime, but the repair was done right and the neck is stronger than ever. At some point the tuners were swapped for Grovers as an upgrade.
