Offered here is a Gibson SJ-200 True Vintage, built in 2012 in Bozeman, Montana during Ren Ferguson’s tenure overseeing Gibson’s acoustic division. This is a now-discontinued True Vintage model featuring Madagascar rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge, a tonewood no longer used by Gibson.
The guitar is built to true pre-war-inspired specifications, including a solid Adirondack spruce top, hand-scalloped Adirondack braces, hide-glue construction, and a solid maple bridge plate. It represents the top tier of Gibson’s modern acoustic production from this era.
Condition: Excellent. No cracks or repairs. Frets are excellent. Minor handling marks consistent with very light use. Pickguard shows a small area of paint loss. Otherwise extremely clean — a true case-kept instrument.
The guitar has been professionally set up and carefully maintained in a smoke-free, humidity-controlled environment.
