Lighthouse 4Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides free meals to children through summer youth programs across South Los Angeles, South Bay, and surrounding communities through the Summer Food Service Program.
We are currently hiring reliable Site Monitors to conduct daily visits to meal distribution locations to ensure meals are being served and documented according to program guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Travel to assigned meal sites daily
• Observe meal service operations
• Ensure meals are distributed according to program requirements
• Review meal count forms and site documentation for accuracy
• Provide basic guidance to site staff when corrections are needed
• Report concerns or compliance issues to program leadership
• Complete daily monitoring reports
Ideal Candidate:
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Comfortable driving between multiple locations
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional demeanor and communication skills
• Quick learner who can follow clear procedures
• Comfortable using basic technology (email, smartphone photos, digital forms, etc.)
This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible daytime work.
Typical monitoring windows are:
Lunch Monitoring: Approximately 12:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Afternoon Monitoring: Approximately 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
There may be downtime between shifts, making this a strong fit for rideshare drivers, gig workers, retirees, college students, substitute employees, or anyone seeking flexible summer income.
