I drove this bus in and outside of LA - Santa Monica, PCH, Malibu hills, Joshua Tree , San Diego and recently big sur etc no issues anywhere and easily gets to 65-70mph on flat fwy. Gives great gas mileage at 15-16 mpg city, 22 mpg hwy. I personally tuned the carbs with best jet settings with brand new jets(if you know new weber carbs the default ones are not for VW bus but for England bedford van).
You can take it anywhere, make it tiny home, or mobile office.
