I have a law degree and several years of law firm experience, working as a law clerk, translator, paralegal, proofreader, witness interviewer, legal writer and editor. Fully bilingual in Spanish, I'm experienced with public contact in English and Spanish. I can work with people or work on documents, including propounding and responding to discovery.
I also have over a hundred legal summaries and analysis of appellate cases published online and in print. Meticulous proofreader, I'm very detail-oriented and thorough. I can work with your clients, other lawyers, court personnel, or any other member of the public on your behalf.
I work remotely most of the time. This means communicating via phone, e-mail, Slack, MS Teams, or Zoom. If an in person meeting is necessary, I can do that too. I can attend depositions, if necessary.
My experience includes document preparation, client intake, witness interviews, proofreading, editing, legal research and writing. I have worked primarily with small and mid-sized law firms, but I do have corporate admin experience as I was an executive assistant for several years before law school. I also have experience working for non profit legal services firms. I'm used to switching projects and communicating with everyone from court personnel to opposing counsel, from clients to faceless bureaucracies.
Please contact me for further information if you would like to speak about this AND you have a job opening in your law firm. Available for full time work, including overtime as needed.
