Position Overview
We’re looking for an energetic, people-oriented Sales Representative to join our in-store team. This is an in-person retail sales role where you’ll help customers find the right furniture for their homes, guide them through options and financing, and close sales.
This position offers hourly pay at the current California minimum wage plus an uncapped commission structure — your earning potential is directly tied to your performance. There is no cap on commission.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers in the showroom and provide a welcoming, no-pressure experience
Listen to customers’ needs and recommend furniture solutions that fit their style, space, and budget
Explain product features, pricing, warranties, and financing options clearly and honestly
Write up sales orders accurately and process transactions
Follow up with potential customers (phone, text, or email) to close open opportunities
Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive showroom
Work as part of a team to meet and exceed store sales goals
Learn product lines and stay familiar with inventory and promotions
Requirements
Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday are required; additional days to be scheduled)
Must be able to work in person at our Wilmington, CA store
Proficiency in English and Spanish (bilingual) – able to comfortably assist customers in both languages
Strong communication and people skills – friendly, professional, and approachable
Comfortable talking with customers face to face and asking for the sale
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow a consistent schedule
Basic math and computer skills (for writing up orders, looking up items, and processing payments)
Ability to stand and walk the showroom for extended periods
Prior retail or sales experience is a plus, but not required – we are willing to train the right person
Interest in furniture, fashion, and interior design is a plus
Compensation
Hourly base pay at the current California minimum wage + Benefits
Uncapped commission on sales (the more you sell, the more you earn)
Opportunities for higher earnings with strong performance
Schedule
Full-time position
Weekends required
