I’m offering a room in a beautiful mcm apartment just steps from the beach and Downtown Santa Monica. Rent is $1600 INCLUDING utilities or $1500, if you do not need a parking space in the garage (street parking available). If you travel often for at least half the month, we can discuss reduced rent (perfect if you want a stable, comfortable home base that costs less than Airbnbs, with dedicated parking and secure space for your belongings between trips).
Room can be furnished or unfurnished. Approx 12' x12' - fits a queen comfortably. Courtyard-facing window so no street or alley noise.
Private bathroom, not ensuite but via hallway that closes off with an accordion door for 100% privacy. See pic.
Apt has large balcony, den with desk, fireplace, wet bar.
Building has charm with MCM/deco character. With pool, sauna, small gym, courtyard, gated entry.
One-month deposit + income/background check required.

About me:
33, gay male, small dog owner (Dachshund).
Early schedule (up 4:30am; gym at 5am; in bed by 9pm). If you’re sensitive to morning noise or a night owl, this won’t be a fit. I like to make my smoothies at 7 am.
Work in construction management (WFH 1–2 days/week).
Into MCM design, flea markets, workouts, DIY, picnics.
Clean, chill, respectful; can be a homebody but also social. Very open to making new friends together.
Prefer tidy shared spaces; communication is key. I dislike clutter in common spaces. I am not OCD about crumbs.
