I’ve lived all over LA since 2015 and I love this apartment, the location, and the neighbors — looking for a like-minded roommate who appreciates a clean, stylish, comfortable home. When I moved in, everything was white except the floors and counters. I’ve furnished and styled it with a Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, and I take pride in the space.
- The building has charm (MCM + deco blend) — not a brand-new modern box, but full of character and constantly improving.
- Location: 10–15 minute walk to the beach and pier. Close to Montana Ave cafes, Pavillions, and Downtown SM (TJ’s, new Vons, Equinox, John Reed). Quiet setting, near residential streets so you don’t feel stuck in the downtown chaos/traffic.
The Room
- Approx. 12' x 12'. Cozy and can fit a queen bed.
- The window faces the interior courtyard so no street or alley noise!
- Good closet space
- Private full bathroom (not ensuite, but fully private via hallway accordion door)
Rent & Details
- $1,711 / month or $1600 if you do not need a spot in garage (street parking available)
- Reduced rent available if you are not home more than half a month (traveling).
- I cover utilities including Wi-Fi (reasonable usage)
- One-month deposit
- Property management requires proof of income + background check
- Move-in: 11/28 (earlier is not available)
About Me
- 33, Gay male
- Small dog owner (Dachshund named Diego)
- Early schedule: up 4:30am, away for gym at 5am, get ready for the day 6:45-8am, in bed before 9pm. If you're a night owl and sensitive to morning noise, this will not be a good fit.
- Construction Management professional (WFH 2 days/week)
- Chill, clean, respectful — homebody vibes but down for roomie outings & building our new friend group. I had a life changing year and looking for positive vibes.
- Not picky or rigid — just dislike clutter in shared spaces more than crumbs.
- Communication is key.
Ideal Roommate
- Similar age
- Gay Friendly
- Similar Schedule aka Morning Person
- Responsible, clean, respectful
- Light cooking (no seafood smells please)
- Not a heavy drinker or partier
- Mindful about guests (no revolving overnights or unofficial roommates aka significant others)
- Dog-friendly. A second small dog may be considered with building approval and compatibility with mine. No cats, sorry.
Best suited for someone minimalist, recently relocated, or someone who travels often as the apartment is fully furnished.
If this sounds like a good fit, message me with a quick introduction about yourself, work schedule, lifestyle, and anything I should know.
