Seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented Mac computer assistant to support the organization and development of creative and scholarly materials.
This position is well-suited for someone with an interest or background in visual arts, design, film, photography, or the humanities, and who enjoys working carefully with visual and written archives.
Responsibilities:
Organizing and cataloging digital art, photographs, and written materials
Assisting with audio-visual and creative projects
Working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Using presentation or media software such as FotoMagico or similar programs
Creating and maintaining clear, logical digital file systems on Mac OS
Providing occasional technical and organizational support for ongoing creative work
Requirements:
High level of comfort and fluency with Mac OS
Proficiency with Adobe and related creative/AV software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, thoughtfully, and reliably
Comfortable working with artistic adult nude material in a fine-art and academic context (not X-rated)
A calm, professional demeanor
Confidentiality & Discretion:
This role involves access to private creative, artistic, and written materials
Absolute discretion, respect for privacy, and ethical handling of sensitive content are essential
Candidate must be able to work with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Preferred (but not required):
UCLA students, graduate students, or recent alumni
Background in art, design, film, photography, art history, or related fields
Experience with archives, collections, or personal creative libraries
