Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20–24 hours per week (early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Shop & Operations Assistant to support daily shop operations, equipment preparation, deliveries, documentation, and online order fulfillment. This role requires the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and safely while maintaining a clean, organized, and functional workspace. Responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining equipment and the shop.
Responsibilities
Be punctual and reliable
Follow instructions from managers
Complete assigned tasks within allotted time and report completion or issues to manager
Unlock and open shop following procedures
Lock up and close shop following procedures
Ask for next tasks when work is completed
Stay in assigned work area (may be outside under a tent)
Keep shop and work areas tidy, clean, and functional
Clean and maintain equipment and shop areas
Greet customers and answer phones professionally
Test equipment before sending to customers
Test equipment upon check-in and immediately report any damage to manager
Perform simple equipment repairs when assigned
Maintain a job board for daily tasks, next-day tasks, and a separate board for the following day
Keep cleaning supplies stocked and rags organized
Fill water tanks for cleaning equipment
Take photos documenting every order, including pre-packed trucks, tents with covers, and staged gear
Document all orders thoroughly with photos
Package and ship orders for online store sales
Additional duties as assigned by managers
Driving & Delivery Duties
Deliver and pick up equipment at customer locations
Available for early morning, late evening, and weekend deliveries
Must be approved by company insurance to be on approved driver list
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to safely drive a 17' box truck
Personal vehicle use optional and not required
If personal vehicle is used, mileage reimbursed at standard California rate
Fuel up and maintain fleet vehicles as needed
Fleet Vehicle Responsibilities
Fuel fleet vehicles
Clean interior and exterior weekly
Document fleet vehicles with photos before rental checkout
Maintain maintenance/repair log for each vehicle
Complete weekly maintenance and damage reports
Check vehicles for damage upon return and immediately report to manager
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
Comfortable with physical labor including loading/unloading and standing for extended periods
California Compliance
This position follows all California labor laws including meal and rest breaks, overtime regulations, and mileage reimbursement where applicable.
