A Journeyman Carpenter is a skilled trades professional responsible for performing advanced carpentry work on commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, and a high level of craftsmanship to deliver quality work that meets code compliance and plan standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform rough and finish carpentry including framing, formwork, backing, blocking, trim, doors, windows, and hardware installation
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• Measure, cut, and install materials with precision and accuracy
• Construct and install structural frameworks such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roof systems
• Install fixtures such as cabinetry, shelving, and built-ins
• Assist with layout, leveling, and site preparation
• Work safely and comply with all OSHA and company safety protocols
• Collaborate with other trades to maintain workflow and minimize delays
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in clean, working condition
• Train and guide apprentices as needed

Qualifications
• 4+ years of carpentry experience
• Proficiency in a minimum of three construction trades (e.g., carpentry, drywall, framing, concrete, doors/windows, light electrical, light plumbing, or similar skilled trades)
• Strong knowledge of building codes and installation standards
• Ability to read and interpret plans and measurements
• provide your own power tools, hand tools, and carpentry equipment
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on various job sites
• OSHA 10 or 30 is admirable
• High attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
