Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic with strong alignment experience to join our collision repair team. This role focuses on mechanical repairs related to collision damage (suspension, steering, brakes, cooling systems, etc.) and performing precise wheel alignments to manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform post-collision mechanical repairs, including:
Suspension and steering component replacement
Brake system repairs and adjustments
Cooling system repairs (radiators, condensers, hoses)
Electrical and drivetrain component replacement as needed
Conduct 4-wheel alignments to OEM specifications using alignment equipment.
Inspect vehicles for additional mechanical issues during repair.
Collaborate with estimators and body technicians to ensure repair plans are accurate.
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to confirm proper operation.
Maintain clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic (collision repair experience preferred).
Proven experience with wheel alignment equipment (Hunter, John Bean, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of suspension, steering, brakes, and related systems.
Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
ASE certifications in Suspension/Steering or Brakes preferred (but not required).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
