About the Position We are a premier custom home builder specializing in high-end residential projects throughout the West Los Angeles area. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Master Carpenter or versatile Tradesperson for a full-time, immediate opening.
Our team upholds the highest standards of craftsmanship, reliability, and professionalism. As with most employment in California, this is an at-will position, meaning either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice, subject to applicable state and federal laws prohibiting unlawful discrimination, retaliation, or other protected activities.
Successful candidates will undergo an initial performance evaluation period (typically up to two weeks or as needed) to assess technical skills, work quality, attitude, and alignment with our company standards. This evaluation does not alter the at-will nature of the employment.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute precise, high-quality carpentry and related trade work in custom home construction and finishing.
• Collaborate professionally with team members, subcontractors, project managers, architects, and clients.
• Accurately interpret and implement work based on architectural plans, specifications, and design requirements.
• Strictly adhere to industry safety protocols and maintain a safety-conscious approach on all job sites.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional attention to detail and consistent superior workmanship.
• Proven safety-conscious habits and compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, strong communication skills, and consistent courtesy in all interactions with colleagues, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and executing based on blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from job sites.
• Possession of necessary hand tools, tool belt, and related equipment for the role.
• Functional smartphone for job-related communication, scheduling, and coordination.
• Willingness to consent to a background check and, if applicable, verification of a clean driving record (as driving is reasonably anticipated to be an essential job function that cannot be comparably performed by alternative means, such as ride-sharing or public transportation, due to travel time, cost, and job site requirements).
• Valid authorization to work in the United States (e.g., valid Social Security Number or other acceptable documentation per federal law).
Important Note on Background Checks In compliance with California's Fair Chance Act (and applicable local ordinances), we do not inquire about or consider an applicant's conviction history until after extending a conditional offer of employment. Any background check will be conducted only after a conditional offer, followed by an individualized assessment in accordance with the law.
Preferred Qualifications (Valued but Not Required)
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Additional trade skills and experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, drywall installation, welding, or related disciplines).
If you are a dedicated professional committed to excellence in custom residential construction, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your resume along with relevant work examples, references, or portfolio materials highlighting your experience in high-end carpentry.
We look forward to reviewing applications from qualified candidates who share our dedication to outstanding quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
