Title: Part-Time Bus Driver
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday – Wednesday (3 days per week)
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour (DOE)
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for transporting elderly residents to and from scheduled appointments, outings, and events, while also assisting with light maintenance, event setup/teardown, and occasional campus support tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong driving experience who enjoys working in a supportive, community-centered environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Safely transport elderly residents to and from medical appointments, outings, shopping trips, and other scheduled activities.
• Provide courteous assistance to residents when boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking brakes, lights, and fluid levels, to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate mileage and trip logs, and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure the bus is fueled, clean, and ready for scheduled trips.
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving protocols, maintaining a safe and professional driving environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management regarding schedules and transportation needs.
• Respond calmly and appropriately in the event of an emergency or unexpected delay.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
• Ability to assist with light maintenance, use basic tools, and move/lift heavy items.
• Effective communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and vendors.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must complete required training (Relias classes) monthly in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
