'AVA THE AVALON' HAS BEEN IN MY FAMILY SINCE SISTER BOUGHT OFF ENTERPRISE RENTAL LOT IN 2004. I AM SECOND OWNER WITH CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.
ODOMETER = 287, 000 MILES.
THESE ISSUES NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION:
-CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.
-P0174 CODE = LEAN FUEL BANK 2.
-ENGINE RUNS BUT HAS A CLACKING NOISE ON HARD ACCELERATION.
-TRANSMISSION HAS A CONSISTENT DRIPLET LEAK, LIKELY FROM SHIFT LEVER SEAL.
-SUSPENSION FRONT AND BACK IS AGED. SHE HAS CREAKS, WORN OUT BUSHINGS, AND BOTTOMS OUT ON DIPS.
The good:
Maintenances performed at proper intervals (oil changes; spark plugs; air and cabin filters; wiper blades; brake pads; used tires).
Radiator brand new Oct 2025. Have receipt.
Transmission replaced late 2024 with used unit. Have shop receipt.
Water pump, timing belt and timing gears replaced early 2025. Have shop receipt.
Never been in an accident.
Body and interior in decent condition.
Upholstery shampooed this summer.
Lots of receipts for replacement parts and work done.
Running car @ over 286k miles.
Clean title in my name; registration to 12/2025.
The not-so-good:
She will need work and replacement parts.
'Clacking' in the motor when pushed hard like in passing other cars or quick accelerations.
Front and rear suspension, shocks, and bushings are worn. She will bottom out on fast dips.
Transmission has small yet consistent driplet leak I think at shifter seal.
Cosmetic blems over the years like faded paint job / clear coat; minor dings or scratches; faded headlamps; minor interior fixes.
