I have been restoring and rebuilding this car for the last few years. It drives wonderfully.
Vehicle is at 124,800 miles.
Starting at 118,000 miles in 2022 I have done the following.
New soft top.
New convertible motor gears to bring top up and down, often broken on other vehicles.
New stereo for Bluetooth, basic.
New speakers on dash and in door.
Cleaned carpets.
Floor mats from a 987, not exact fit but can be trimmed easily.
New short shifter with all bushings.
Engine work:
New driver side hydraulic tensioner, variocam tensioner, solenoid and chain guide. This also involves resealing the valve cover so driver side does not leak at all.
New spark plugs and ignition coils.
New spark plug tubes on both sides.
New starter motor. New battery
New motor mount.
New front brake pads and rotors.
New rear brake pads, parking shoes and rotors.
Rear calipers rebuilt with factory seals.
New rear wheel bearings.
Fully replaced rear suspension including all arms, ball joints and struts.
New sway bar bushings in rear.
New front control arms.
New front ball joints and tie rods.
New AOS-oil separator.
New headlight and taillight bulbs installed in 22’
Front spare inspected and serviced.
Uninstalled:
I have a brand new water pump and thermostat kit with all new hoses. Never installed because vehicle has not had cooling issues ever.
I have another ecu. Keys would have to be programmed but bought a backup for a good price.
Driver door actuator doesn’t index everyone when door opens. A separate Used oem actuator will come with purchase for replacement if I haven’t done it first.
Stereo antenna adapter is not installed but I have it ready to go, brand new. For now, Bluetooth and aux only.
Only one key currently. Clean title.
Cosmetic damage consists of dents in various places. Clear coat fading and paint not perfect. Could use a paint job. Needs rear tires.
