I’ve been using this monitor with a Thunderbolt 2 cable and adapter, and it works perfectly.
All you need is a Thunderbolt 2 cable and a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter — and you're all set!

Are there any dead pixels?
Not that I can see. You’re welcome to check yourself, and if you find any, you can return it within 7 days.
Any screen issues at all?
No, there are no screen issues. Again, you have a full week to test it yourself.
The original cable can be temperamental, but when connected to the outlet behind the monitor as shown in the pictures, it works perfectly.
I have never had a single issue using it this way.
This will give you the chance to test everything and make sure it works perfectly for you.
I work from home so I am available to show you the monitor between 11AM to 9PM at my apartment's lobby.
